It’s been a few weeks since I wrote a Weekend Edition post. Life has been a bit more full than normal recently.

Two weekends ago, we went down to Dallas to visit one of my best friends (since junior high!) and her boyfriend. Despite the rainy weather we had a blast. If you are in Dallas, or visiting the city, HG Sply Co. is an amazing restaurant that has a really cool rooftop bar with a view of the skyline. Their whole menu can be made gluten and dairy free, which was amazing for me I’ve been doing my best to stick with the AIP diet most of the time (and 100% gluten free).

Last weekend I picked up my parents two pups for a week-long staycation at our house. So now we have four furry friends in our house with Pete and Susse plus their two pups. One of the pups is a puppy (just over a year-old black lab, but still such a puppy). He has a lot of energy. We sure have been getting our exercise in this week with loooong 5am walks before work and lots of stick throwing after work. I have a feeling our two pups will be needing at least an entire day of napping after their besties leave. Catch my Instagram stories for some behind the scenes of the four dogs in a house craziness.

Today marks two weeks in a new role at my day job! I stayed with the same company but moved out of audit and into project management. I am really loving it so far and the change has been a breath of fresh air I needed. It’s a role I feel I can be more creative in and I think I am going to really enjoy it.

I heard a snippet of this on NPR on the way to work the other morning, so I had to look up the full article. It is so crazy to think about how much plastic is used on a daily/weekly/yearly basis around the world. So much of it is unnecessary too. I have been motivated all year to really limit my use of plastic, especially single use plastics, and this is all the more motivation to continue and even further my efforts.

Did you catch the spring home tour I posted earlier yesterday? I shared my simple ideas for added spring touches around the house. I am loving the feel our home has for spring. Clean, simple, and uncluttered, which is exactly what I need right now.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!
