Modern Traditional Living Room - The Adored Abode

Welcome to The Weekend Edition where I share everything from design ideas, home decor inspiration, and DIY, to life happenings, products I am loving, organization tips, health and wellness, and really any other topic as it comes to mind.

I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for all the love and support we received from this post about our 3rd pregnancy loss. Things are returning to normal and I look forward to getting back into blogging and working on projects again. It is truly what I love to do and I’m happy that I’m in a better mental space now to get back into doing what I love.

We are immersing ourselves into a slightly modified version of the Auto Immune Paleo (AIP) diet to help reduce inflammation and hopefully aid in our fertility journey. The one thing I really miss is snacks, like chips, pretzels, and popcorn, which is shocking since I am a major sweet tooth. I was beyond happy to find these grain free puffs. They really are good. Not cheese puff level good, but they definitely give you that taste and crunch if you are eating a grain free diet. I am a huge fan.

We recently did a little furniture rearranging spurred from wanting to move our desk and computer downstairs into the den. We moved one of our comfy white chairs from the office to our living room to make room for the desk and moved our leather chair from the living room into our bedroom. We love our leather chair, but it’s more of a sitting chair and not a lounging chair, which is what we wanted for the living room. We are so happy with these small changes that we accomplished reusing what we already have in a new way.

Our upstairs bathroom project is still underway 6 months later. The largest part of the project by far has been the tiling. We tiled the tub surround, the floor, and a chair rail of tile all around the bathroom. We are not tile pros by any means, so it took us a long time! We have finally finished all the tile and painted the walls!! It feels like we are now in the home stretch! Next up is installing the vanity and toilet.

Hope you enjoy your weekend! We plan to install the vanity and toilet this weekend – be sure to turn into Instagram stories for real time updates!
