We moved into our house 3 years ago and it took me a while to hang anything on the walls. We had art from our previous home, but some of it just felt like it didn’t fit with our new house and I am really trying to be more mindful of items I purchase – rather than buying things to fill the space (I used to be really bad about this, slowly getting better) I want to make sure we really love the pieces we are bringing into our home and it takes time to find the right pieces.
I am all about finding home decor that fits within your budget, and unfortunately our budget for art was not very big with most of our home budget being allocated to actual costs of renovation. I quickly realized the beauty (and budget effectiveness) of buying printable art that you can frame yourself! One source I love to rely on for printable art is Etsy. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites.

We have 1 and 12 in our living room and love them! Although, I do wish I had printed the seascape larger (it’s so pretty in person) and printed the black and white print a little smaller instead.
I am really digging modern brushstroke artwork lately. It’s simple, pretty, and can be mixed easily with so many other types of art. The 5 & 11 beige beauties really grabbed my attention. They could make a statement on their own or displayed on a gallery wall or picture ledge amidst other modern or more traditional artwork. These two modern brushstroke prints could easily inspire similar DIY versions (like this abstract DIY art I did), but if you aren’t feeling like a DIY these are very affordable prints you could download and print yourself!
