Modern Traditional Living Room - The Adored Abode

Welcome to The Weekend Edition where I share everything from design ideas, home decor inspiration, and DIY, to life happenings, products I am loving, organization tips, health and wellness, and really any other topic as it comes to mind.

First, I wanted to say thank you for all of your love and support about my announcement last week – we are over the moon excited to meet our newest addition in September!

Chris Loves Julia is currently doing their master closet with an Ikea Pax hack! I will be following along very closely because we plan to do the same (after the stay at home orders are lifted and we can go to Ikea again!). We have our layout and tentative plan down so I will be very curious to see how they implement theirs!

Kim and Scott shared the exterior reveal of their tree house and I am completely smitten. It’s in Michigan, near the lake, surrounded by a lot of trees. Plus it looks like a super cozy house. Seriously my dream come true.

Is it peach season yet? I have been craving peaches like crazy – hello pregnancy! I could eat peaches in everything. Grilled peaches, cheese and bread? Yes please. I have wanted peaches so badly I asked Nathan to get canned peaches and he accidentally got 3 cans of peach pie filling instead. I’ve been baking all sorts of peach things these past few weeks to use up the pie filling! Canned is definitely not the same though – I can’t wait to be able to get fresh ones at the farmer’s market!

Cass’s DIY frame TV has given me all sorts of ideas – we still are wanting to hang the TV above the fireplace, but my biggest hesitation is that I don’t like how it looks (priorities)! I think this could be a solution for us to not splurge on a frame TV, although it is still tempting.

Now that I am feeling better in the second trimester and not nauseous I have had the itch to do all sorts of DIY projects I physically couldn’t the past few months. This weekend I am hoping to tackle a linen closet refresh using only supplies I already have! I honestly kind of love that staying at home is forcing me to be creative rather than running to the hardware store on a whim.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
