A little housekeeping to get out of the way at the top – we have been terribly inconsistent recently – thanks … life. The word for the year 2022 in our household is consistency – showing up everyday. We recently read Essentialism by Greg McKeown and put some of the recommendations immediately to work to help us identify and prioritize what is essential to us. Now if we can all get healthy.

We have recently been discussing making some changes to our home office plan. While we were researching office inspiration we stumbled across this 1st dibs office inspiration collection and saw a number of office plans that really caught our eye. As a reminder this is what our current office spaces look like. These are nice offices, and we are fortunate to both have devoted spaces to use, but we recently swapped offices (we are serial room swappers and furniture re-arrangers in our house) and we each have a slightly different feel for the rooms in mind. We want to make a few decor changes to make the offices feel a bit more like us.

Nathan has been wanting to incorporate an Eames style lounge chair into our home design for years. Maybe this is the year we finally make it happen. We don’t know if its worth splurging for the O.G. Eames from Herman Miller or going for a more affordable option. Decisions decisions.

THINGS THAT CAUGHT MY EYE THIS WEEK:

We’ve been trying to kick a long term dessert habit and improve our sleep, what’s keeping us going is i heart macros sleep collagen its a little bit sweet, and offers a calming dose of melatonin before bed. If you whisk it into milk you’ve warmed on the stovetop it tastes like a hot chocolate.

We’ve been reading a few kids books on repeat that Leo loves. Say Hello, Babar, and Little Blue Truck Valentine are a few of our current favorites.

Nathan and I talked about this article on why kids love garbage trucks a few years ago – pre-kid of our own – and chuckled about it. Now we have a kid who is obsessed with the trash truck too. I guess we’ve come full circle, and now we even have our own theories on why Leo loves the trash truck and will watch Trash Truck on Netflix with rapt attention.

Have a great weekend!
