Despite our ongoing upstairs bathroom renovation (we are finally done with demo) I couldn’t help but start another project. I usually have multiple going on around the house which definitely contributes to projects not getting finished timely. Our bedroom is something I want to “finish” this year. This past weekend we rearranged our bedroom and removed the rug. It is a beautiful chunky loop style rug, but it is not meant for as high of a traffic area as our bedroom is. Between us and the dogs it was getting dirty so fast and is not something that is easily cleaned. So we took it out of our room and moved it into the much less frequented guest room, which spurred the very beginnings of a master bedroom refresh. What’s to come? A darker coat of paint, a new rug, hardware added on the nightstands, a new light, new window coverings, and finally hanging some art on the walls. Nothing major as our furniture is staying, but we are hoping our room can feel more finished.

I cannot stop thinking about Chris, Julia, and their family. The loss of their beloved A-frame is so heartbreaking. Julia wrote about not waiting to make memories in your home and it really hit a soft spot for me. We have tried very hard to embrace every stage of our home renovation, having people over when our house is a semi-construction zone or there are ongoing projects, but it is something I want to be better about this year. Don’t wait for perfect. Enjoy your home, in every stage.

I have been pinning every image of CASEWORK’s amazing design for this colonial. The dining nook is giving me a lot of inspiration for what I hope to be able to do in our kitchen someday.

Gwen of The Makerista transformed two bathrooms into a boys and a girls masterpiece. She does bold so well. Her bathrooms have a lot of similarities (vaulted ceilings and skylights) to our upstairs bathroom.

I have been trying to get better about my skincare regimen now that I’m almost 30 and all. One thing I recently added was this Indie Lee toner. I cannot recommend it enough. It makes my face feel balanced and clear, plus it smells amazing and is so refreshing.

Hope you have a great weekend!
