Friday 5 (vol. 6)

October 13, 2017

Welcome to The Friday 5 for this week where I share interior design ideas,  home decor inspiration, DIY, and organization tips and tricks… and really anything else as it comes to mind!

ONE

I have a simple gold bar necklace that I love. I wear it almost every day. It was very inexpensive and it’s definitely starting to show that. I am looking to upgrade to a little bit of a nicer one and I saw this one that they sell at Nordstrom that is so very similar to the one I have, just much nicer. I think this type of necklace is perfect for just about any outfit that I am wearing on a daily basis and dresses things up a little bit, without being too flashy.

 TWO

This one isn’t that exciting, but something I have had my eye on for a while. This Shark handheld vacuum would be perfect for cleaning up crumbs, dirt, and dog hair for when I don’t feel like getting out the big vacuum. With two dogs we have a lot of dog hair and dirt, especially near the patio door where they come in and out. It would be so nice to be able to spot clean with this in between regular vacuuming.

THREE

I have been dabbling in using essential oils recently and I have loved using them. I use them both topically and through a diffuser. We have a diffuser that we use in our bedroom at night, but I would love another one for the kitchen. This diffuser is really cute, would blend with my existing décor, and is small enough to tuck away. It’s about perfect for what we would want to use it for!

FOUR

We have been talking about getting a new front door recently. Our door is pretty ornate and does not go with our décor style. We think a new front door would really update the look of the front of our house. Chris Loves Julia’s front door is the one I am dreaming, but maybe with bubbled glass instead of clear so that you can’t see through it completely since you can see directly into our living room.

FIVE

I recently made a DIY no sew faux roman shade for the window above our kitchen sink. You can see the post here.  It was so easy to make (and inexpensive) to make! I love the texture and interest it provides against the white backsplash tile. You should check out the tutorial if you want to make one yourself!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
