ONE

Cathy at The Grit & Polish wrote a recent blog post about inspiration for sticking to your renovation budget. This really hit home with me because it is EXACTLY what we are trying to do. Update our house in a smart way that adds value, while not overdoing it on the budget and not compromising too much on what we want. It’s definitely a balance, but it is possible to achieve. I love The Grit & Polish and all of the love they give the old house they renovate. Their work is stunning and it’s always so refreshing to hear that we aren’t the only ones renovating and sticking to a pretty tight budget. There is so much inspiration to be found out there for beautiful homes, especially kitchens and bathrooms that probably cost a small fortune, but know it is possible to update or renovate your home in a financially smart way.

TWO

I recently discovered The Mine through Bridget and Casey at The DIY Playbook. For someone who spends way to much time sourcing products on the internet how did I not know this site existed before?! Bridget used this beautiful black floor lamp in her son’s nursery reveal and I fell in love with it. I also stumbled upon this gorgeous brass lamp. I know I just wrote a blog post about floor lamps under $100 (you can find the post here) and I really love a lot of those lamps, but these two lamps got my wheels spinning and they might now be the two top contenders for our living room.

THREE

I have been living in this fleece open cardigan at home. I absolutely love it and it is one of my favorite purchases this winter. It is so warm and cozy. It’s like wearing a blanket and a robe all at the same time, while still looking put together. Plus it’s on super sale right now!! I’m tempted to buy a second one.

FOUR

Julia at Chris Loves Julia recently added watercolor dog portraits to their dog feeding station and it is just the sweetest thing. Definitely makes me want to get portraits of our two furry loves made.

This recently completely Park Slope Limestone Project by Jessica Helgerson Interior Design is stunning. I love their use of wood in the kitchen and the paneling peeking through from the dining room in this shot is lovely. This inspiring project shows that wood truly can be beautiful. I love a good white kitchen and white trim, but this is gorgeous in a whole different way.

Hope you enjoy your weekend, friends! There are a few projects we plan to tackle this weekend – including fixing our smelly hall bath toilet again, the darn seal keeps leaking sewer gas (gross and not healthy). Fingers crossed our plan for fixing it works this time so we don’t have to call a plumber.
