Friday 5 (vol. 8)

December 1, 2017

Welcome to The Friday 5 for this week where I share interior design ideas,  home decor inspiration, DIY, products I am loving, and organization tips and tricks… and really anything else as it comes to mind!

It’s been a while since posted my last Friday 5, between the One Room Challenge wrapping up and Thanksgiving, but we’re back again!

ONE

We have the Ninja Kitchen System that includes the regular blender, food processor, and small blender cups. You can find it here. We absolutely love it! We have had it for about 2 years now and it’s still going strong. No, it is probably not comparable to a fancier blender, but I LOVE that it has all of the different attachments that use the same base because that means everything takes up less storage space and it truly does everything we need it to! We make smoothies, cookie dough, blend soups, chop nuts, grate cheese… basically you name it we use this for it. During our Thanksgiving food prep I was reminded how much I love this gadget because we used it so many times for so many different dishes! If you are looking for a gift for a couple, a new homeowner, or maybe someone that just has a blender that’s seen better days, I would definitely recommend this guy.

TWO

These Sole Society shoes have been on my wish list for quite some time. I think they are so pretty, a good mix of feminine and classic, and a bit of a twist with the velvet fabric. They are a bit expensive (for my typically shoe buying budget), which is why I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but needless to say if these were to show up on my doorstep in a size 7 I would be thrilled.

THREE

This is another good gift option for any ladies in your life. I NEVER remember to bring my phone charge with me and my phone is always low on battery. I have a portable charger, but it’s kind of bulky and I just don’t want that extra thing in my purse to be honest. This cute tassel is something you could clip to your keys (I already have a tassel on my key chain, but that one’s just for looks, this would be function too) or to your purse to always have it on hand. You can find it here.

FOUR

Clearly I have shoes on the brain. I have noticed multiple times when I went to leave the house that I feel like I don’t have good casual winter shoes that I can actually wear tall socks with that are NOT leather boots and that are not snow boots. These boots are technically rain boots, but I can imagine wearing them a lot during the fall and winter, not just when it’s raining. You can find the boots here. In Kansas City we do get cold weather, but more often than not it doesn’t snow so it would be nice to have a shoe that is in between a tennis shoe and a snow boot. My husband would probably be happy if I had another more casual boot beside my UGGs (I don’t care if they make me look like I’m in high school, they are just too warm to not wear!).

FIVE

I had gifts on my radar when I was putting together this Friday 5. This cookbook, which you can find here, would be a great gift. I have multiple cooks in my life that would probably love and benefit from a cookbook stand. I liked this one because it is compact (read: easy to store… I have this thing with not liking to give people gifts that take up a lot of space… unless I know they 100% love it) and it’s pretty. Plus you can use it for a tablet or cookbook.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! We are having friends over to watch the Chiefs game on Sunday. We are excited for some good quality friend time!
