ONE

You may have seen we are tackling our laundry room/pantry/dog room for the 6 week One Room Challenge, in case you missed it you can check the post out here. As part of our plan to redo our laundry room we are going to paint and stencil our tile floor that is in our kitchen and and laundry room. The hope is that it ends up looking like the pretty patterned cement tiles that have become so popular now. Mysha from Remington Avenue has not one, but two great tutorials on how to paint and stencil tile. You better believe I am going to be following her notes to a T!

TWO

Gwen, from The Makerista is one of my all time favorite bloggers to follow. She is in the process of renovating her house and I love following along. She has such a beautiful style and every room she touches is gorgeous! She is currently painting the paneling in her living room and I can’t wait to see the transformation. It’s making me think twice about the white paint we used on the paneling in our living room.

THREE

I know it is only the beginning of October, but I am already thinking about the planner yes I still use a paper planner I want to get for next year. I personally like weekly planners that have room for day to day appointments, to do items, and meal planning. This weekly planner by Emily Ley is about perfect for what I want. I have heard great things about her planners too!

I love a room that is light and bright, but I have also really been feeling the dark and moody rooms recently.  We have a den/front room that is currently sitting empty. I would love to make it into a moody reading/music listening/sitting room like the image above.

FIVE

We are trying to incorporate more plants into our lives… in multiple different ways. By focusing on eating more plants, using products made with plants, and having houseplants. Essentially plants are awesome and can do so many things to do our bodies and overall health. This sweatshirt by Frankie & Jo’s (a plant based ice cream shop in Seattle, WA) perfectly sums up my feelings.

      1. Thanks for stopping by Mysha! I am so excited to try out your tutorial for painting our floors! Yours looking amazing!! It is just the fix we needed for our floors short of totally replacing them (which just isn’t in the cards right now).
